    Barefoot Bowls at Stanthorpe Bowls Club

    If you're looking for some new social activities in 2025, why not try Barefoot Bowls at the Stanthorpe Bowls Club? The 2025 season starts on Thursday, January 9th 2025. It is open to everyone to come along and try the game. Basic tuition is included for beginners and bowls are supplied for the night. Be at the club on Amosfield Rd ( Golf Club complex) by 5.30 pm for a 6 pm start. The Club can be contacted after 5 pm on 07 4681 1276 to register names early. The cost is $5 per person with kids under 16 years free.

    Behind The Wheel Driver Education

    5 hour course = 20 logbook hours
    Glen Innes on Wednesday 22 January and Tenterfield on Wednesday 29 January. Cost is $140, which includes a 3- hour workshop and a 2-hour practical driving lesson.     Drake Village Community Group

    Come and volunteer with ‘Container of Dreams’. A local charity organisation based in Leslie Creek Road, Drake. We mainly build tiny houses for the disadvantaged but we do many other things too! Everyone is welcome with skills or no skills. A great way to build confidence and learn new skills or just have fun and make new friends We meet every Tuesday and Thursday at our shed at Leslie Creek. We are registered with Centrelink as a volunteer organisation for mutual obligation requirements too.

    Happy Chat Free Adult Mental Health Group

    Supporting people with mental problems, a Community Group run by volunteers who are seeking donations to continue their work. They raise funds through Containers for Change so use code C10631079 when depositing at a Containers for Change depot. Or see Kath Ives at Stanthorpe Whistle Stop Heritage and Community garden on Saturdays who will gladly accept donations on the spot.

    New Last Tenterfield Saddler exhibition opens

    The Tenterfield and District Historical Society is pleased to announce the opening of its new “Last Saddler Exhibition”.
    The Exhibition is housed in the Petrie Cottage at the Museum site at 139 Logan Street and is free of charge for locals. You are warmly invited to come along on Saturdays or Sundays from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm to see a slice of the equine history of this town.

    The famous Tenterfield Saddler building in High Street had 5 official saddlers over its active lifespan and the Centenary Cottage Museum is showcasing a collection of memorabilia donated by the “Last Saddler” - Trevor Gibson who owned and worked in the shop from 1989 -1996.

    The display includes details of Trevor’s time in the saddlery and his contribution to the community. It includes a range of tools, harnesses and a wide variety of saddles created by Trevor and others.

    TenterLIFE Suicide Prevention Network

    TenterLIFE is making a Community Memorial Garden in the top section of Tenterfield Park with a shade structure, seating and garden. It is hoped that work will be completed by mid-September and have an official opening. Memorial Plaques will be put on the structure for anyone who wishes to have their loved ones' names recognised. The cost is just $15 for the engraving and all plaques will be consistent with "In loving memory of" then the name. This project received a grant from Wesley LifeForce.     If you've found small items such as glasses, keys or other personal items, these can be left at the station for identification and collection.

    If you have lost or found a dog, cat, bird or other animal, Ten FM can put an announcement to air. However, we cannot accept found animals here at the station.

    Buy and Sell

    The Ten FM "Buy and Sell" segment is broadcast twice daily and is FREE for Ten FM members.

    For non-members the cost is $5.50 per notice per fortnight, and payment is required a time of booking.
