Primary producers are invited to get ahead of their next bank meeting with a free webinar on 15th September from the Rural Financial Counselling Service Southern Queensland. Get Ahead of It: How a Bank Views Your Farm will feature Warren Ryan, along with Rural Financial Counsellors Ian Swanborough and Leonie Brassey, who will share their experience in agribusiness banking and explain how lenders assess cash flow, debt and serviceability. Level 2 Water restrictions in place for Tenterfield
Tenterfield Shire Council has adopted the revised Drought Management Plan. The revised plan introduces water restrictions earlier than the previous plan to preserve Council’s water supply. Level 2 Water Restrictions for the Tenterfield water supply area apply from Thursday, 27 August 2026.
Low Level Water Restrictions Now Apply in Stanthorpe
In line with Council's Drought Management Plan, as Storm King Dam has reached 65% capacity, Stanthorpe has now entered into low-level water restrictions - the first of four potential levels.
These restrictions apply to all households connected to or using the town water supply sourced from Storm King Dam. Stanthorpe daily use target: 150 litres per person, per day
Celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Guyra Trout Festival over the October Long Weekend!
Highlights include market stalls in Bradley Street, the Rotary Book Fair, children’s art displays and public voting, a business window dressing competition, and the Art Exhibition at the Lamb and Potato Shed near the Big Lamb.
There will also be an opening night, Paint and Sip, children’s storytelling and painting, adult stick weaving workshops, and vintage cars on display at Burgess’s Garage.
The museum and Costa Tomato Farm tours are also expected to feature, with confirmation to come.

Carolyn Robinson Open Garden Weekend at Eagles Bluff
Garden lovers are invited to discover one of the New England region’s remarkable private gardens when Carolyn Robinson opens her garden at Sandy Flat, near Tenterfield, on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October. The garden will be open from 9.30am to 4pm on both days at 707 Bluff River Road, Sandy Flat, approximately 25 minutes south of Tenterfield. Entry is $20 per person, payable at the gate or online, with free entry for children under 16. There is plenty of onsite parking, with signage provided on the day. Artists Collective Studio - Spring Art Prize
Friday 25 September to Monday 26 October. This is the gallery’s second and last Open Exhibition of the year. Anyone can enter, and you must submit a work that hasn’t been in ACS Gallery before. Last Tenterfield Saddler exhibition
The Tenterfield and District Historical Society hosts the “Last Saddler Exhibition” in the Petrie Cottage at the Museum site at 139 Logan Street. It's free of charge for locals. You are warmly invited to come along on Saturdays or Sundays from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm to see a slice of the equine history of this town.
The famous Tenterfield Saddler building in High Street had 5 official saddlers over its active lifespan, and the Centenary Cottage Museum is showcasing a collection of memorabilia donated by the “Last Saddler” - Trevor Gibson, who owned and worked in the shop from 1989 -1996.
The display includes details of Trevor’s time in the saddlery and his contribution to the community. It includes a range of tools, harnesses and a wide variety of saddles created by Trevor and others.

If you've found small items such as glasses, keys or other personal items, these can be left at the station for identification and collection.
If you have lost or found a dog, cat, bird or other animal, Ten FM can put an announcement to air. However, we cannot accept found animals here at the station.
Buy and Sell
The Ten FM "Buy and Sell" segment is broadcast twice daily and is FREE for Ten FM members.
For non-members the cost is $5.50 per notice per fortnight, and payment is required a time of booking.
